حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ أَبُو حَفْصٍ التُّجِيبِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُشَّانَةَ الْمَعَافِرِيِّ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ: مَنْ كَانَ لَهُ ثَلاَثُ بَنَاتٍ، وَصَبَرَ عَلَيْهِنَّ، وَكَسَاهُنَّ مِنْ جِدَتِهِ، كُنَّ لَهُ حِجَابًا مِنَ النَّارِ.

‘Abd Allah ibn Yazid narrated to us, saying: Harmalah ibn ‘Imran Abu Hafs al-Tujibi narrated to us, from Abu ‘Ushanah al-Ma‘afiri, from ‘Uqbah ibn ‘Amir, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and grant him peace, say: “Whoever has three daughters, is patient with them, and clothes them from his means, they will be a shield for him from the Fire.”
