Bishr narrated to us, saying: ‘Abd Allah informed us, saying: Musa informed us, saying: I heard my father relate from Suraqah ibn Ju‘shum that the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: “O Suraqah, the same applies to you.”
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The source says مِثْلَهُ, ‘the same’; this short report depends on the immediately preceding account and is not expanded here.
The source is an elliptical cross-reference and does not restate the teaching to which ‘the same’ refers.
Should this report remain elliptical in the translation, or should an explicit cross-reference to the preceding report be added in a note?
