حَدَّثَنَا حَرَمِيُّ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ‏:‏ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَرْحَمَ النَّاسِ بِالْعِيَالِ، وَكَانَ لَهُ ابْنٌ مُسْتَرْضَعٌ فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْمَدِينَةِ، وَكَانَ ظِئْرُهُ قَيْنًا، وَكُنَّا نَأْتِيهِ، وَقَدْ دَخَنَ الْبَيْتُ بِإِذْخِرٍ، فَيُقَبِّلُهُ وَيَشُمُّهُ‏.‏

Abu Hurayra said, "A man came to the Prophet, may Allah bless himand grant him peace, with a child which he began to embrace. The Prophet,may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said. 'Do you show mercy towardsme?' 'Yes,' the man replied. He said, 'Allah is more merciful towards youthan you are towards this child. He is the Most Merciful of the merciful.;
