Sulayman ibn Harb related to us, saying: al-Aswad ibn Shayban related to us, saying: Khalid ibn Sumayr related to us, saying: Bashir ibn Nahik related to me, saying: Bashir related to us: He came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said: “What is your name?” He said: “Zahm.” He said: “Rather, you are Bashir [Bearer of good news].” While I was walking alongside the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, he said: “Ibn al-Khasasiyya, what do you find fault with Allah for this morning? You are walking alongside the Messenger of Allah.” I said: “May my father and mother be your ransom, I find nothing at all to fault in Allah; I have attained every good.” He came to the graves of the polytheists and said: “These people have missed out on much good.” Then he came to the graves of the Muslims and said: “These people have attained much good.” Then there was a man wearing two leather sandals walking among the graves. He said: “O wearer of the two leather sandals, take off your sandals!” So he removed them.
