Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 833

‘Umar ibn Hafs related to us, saying: My father related to us, saying: al-A‘mash related to us, saying: Abu Sufyan related to us, from Jabir, from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said: “If I live, Allah willing, I shall forbid my community from anyone among them being named Baraka, Nafi‘, or Aflah—and I do not know whether he said Rafi‘ or not. Someone would ask, ‘Is Baraka here?’ and be told, ‘There is no Baraka here.’” The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, passed away without forbidding that.

The Arabic says the Prophet passed away without forbidding it; it does not say that he died because he could forbid it.
Should this be flagged as a reversal of the Arabic meaning?
