حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ الْعَمِّيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم: يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ، إِذَا طَبَخْتَ مَرَقَةً فَأَكْثِرْ مَاءَ الْمَرَقَةِ، وَتَعَاهَدْ جِيرَانَكَ، أَوِ اقْسِمْ فِي جِيرَانِكَ.

Al-Humaydi related to us: Abu 'Abd al-Samad al-'Ammi related to us: Abu 'Imran related to us, from 'Abdullah ibn al-Samit, from Abu Dharr, who said: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: ‘Abu Dharr, when you cook broth, add plenty of water to it and look after your neighbours—or share it out among your neighbours.’
