Al-Humaydi narrated to us. He said: Ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us. He said: Hisham ibn 'Urwah narrated to us. He said: My father informed me. He said: Asma' bint Abi Bakr informed me: My mother came to me, seeking something, during the time of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. I asked the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: “Should I maintain ties with her?” He said: “Yes.” Ibn 'Uyaynah said: Then Allah, Mighty and Majestic, revealed concerning her: “Allah does not forbid you with regard to those who did not fight you on account of religion.”

The Arabic includes a chain from al-Humaydi through Hisham ibn 'Urwah; the English witness omits it.
Should the English witness be marked as abridged for this occurrence?
The Arabic explicitly includes an additional attribution and quoted fragment after the Prophet's reply.
Should the English witness be marked incomplete for this occurrence?
The word راغبة indicates that the mother came seeking or wanting something, but the excerpt does not identify what she sought; the English witness supplies an interpretation about hoped-for dutifulness.
What, if anything, may be made explicit about what the mother wanted without adding information?
