حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: {وَاخْفِضْ لَهُمَا جَنَاحَ الذُّلِّ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ}، قَالَ: لاَ تَمْتَنِعْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ أَحَبَّاهُ.

Abu Nu'aym narrated to us. He said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Hisham ibn 'Urwah, from his father, who said: “Lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy.” He said: “Do not withhold from them anything they love.”
