'Ali ibn al-Ja'd narrated to us. He said: Shu'bah informed us, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, who said: I heard Abu al-'Abbas al-A'ma, from 'Abd Allah ibn 'Amr, who said: A man came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, wanting to take part in jihad. He said: “Are your parents alive?” He said: “Yes.” He said: “Then strive in serving them.”
