حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: اسْتَأْذَنَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم سَوْدَةُ لَيْلَةَ جَمْعٍ، وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَةً ثَقِيلَةً ثَبِطَةً، فَأَذِنَ لَهَا.

‘A’isha, may Allah be pleased with her, said: Sawda asked the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, for permission on the night of Jam‘. She was a heavy, slow-moving woman, and he gave her permission.
