Al-Bara’ ibn ‘Azib reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: “Spread the greeting of peace, and you will be safe. Boastful exultation is evil.”

Notes and open questions — unreviewed
  • Al-ashara is rendered as boastful exultation; the term can also suggest arrogant or excessive self-display.

  • وَالأشَرَةُ شَرٌّ

The Arabic is al-ashara, denoting boastful or arrogant exultation; “saw” does not match the word.

Please correct this term against the Arabic.
