حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلاَنَ، عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: شَمِّتْهُ وَاحِدَةً وَثِنْتَيْنِ وَثَلاَثًا، فَمَا كَانَ بَعْدَ هَذَا فَهُوَ زُكَامٌ.

Qutayba related to us, saying: Sufyan related to us, from Ibn ‘Ajlan, from al-Maqburi, from Abu Hurayra, who said: “Invoke mercy for him once, twice, and three times; anything beyond that is a cold.”
