حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: إِذَا تَثَاءَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَكْظِمْ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ.

‘Abdullah ibn Yusuf related to us, saying: Malik informed us, from al-‘Ala ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman, from his father, from Abu Hurayra, from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said: “When one of you yawns, let him restrain it as much as he can.”
