حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُهَيْلٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: إِذَا تَثَاءَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَضَعْ يَدَهُ بِفِيهِ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَدْخُلُ فِيهِ.

Musaddad related to us, saying: Khalid related to us, saying: Suhayl related to us, from Ibn Abi Sa‘id, from Abu Sa‘id, from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said: “When one of you yawns, let him place his hand over his mouth, for Satan enters it.”

فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَدْخُلُ فِيهِ
The Arabic gives a direct explanation that Satan enters it; the witness adds “otherwise” and “might,” making the statement conditional and less definite.
Should the explanatory clause retain the Arabic’s direct wording?
