حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ هِلاَلِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: إِذَا تَثَاءَبَ فَلْيَضَعْ يَدَهُ عَلَى فِيهِ، فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ.

‘Uthman related to us, saying: Jarir related to us, from Mansur, from Hilal ibn Yasaf, from ‘Ata, from Ibn ‘Abbas, who said: “When someone yawns, let him place his hand over his mouth, for it is from Satan.”
