Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 691
Musaddad and Khalifa related to us: Bishr ibn al-Mufaddal related to us: al-Jurayri related to us, from Abu al-Ward, from Abu Muhammad al-Hadrami, from Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, who said: A man said in the presence of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, “Praise belongs to Allah—abundant, good, and blessed praise.” The Prophet said, “Who said those words?” The man was silent, thinking he had intruded upon something the Prophet disliked. The Prophet asked, “Who was it?” He said nothing but what was right. A man said, “I did; I hope for good through it.” The Prophet said, “By the One in whose hand my soul is, I saw thirteen angels hastening to see which of them would raise it to Allah, Mighty and Majestic.”
