Muhammad ibn Yusuf related to us: Sufyan related to us, from al-A‘mash, from Abu Wa’il, from Abu Nuhaylah, to whom someone said, “Pray to Allah.” He said, “O Allah, lessen the illness, but do not lessen the reward.” They said to him, “Pray, pray.” He said, “O Allah, make me one of those brought near, and make my mother one of the houris.”
