حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ: كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَضْرِبُ وَلَدَهُ عَلَى اللَّحْنِ.

Abu Nu‘aym related to us, saying: Sufyan related to us, from ‘Ubaydullah, from Nafi‘, who said: Ibn ‘Umar used to strike his son for grammatical errors.
