حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ الرِّشْكُ، عَنْ مُعَاذَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَمْرٍو ابْنَةِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ، يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَخْطُبُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ لَبِسَ الْحَرِيرَ فِي الدُّنْيَا فَلَا يُكْسَاهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ‏.‏

Translation

‘Affan narrated to us; ‘Abd al-Wahid narrated to us; Yazid al-Rishk narrated to us, from Mu‘adhah, from Umm ‘Amr, daughter of ‘Abd Allah, who heard ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr relate that he heard ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, delivering a sermon and saying that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: ‘Whoever wears silk in this world will not be clothed in it in the Hereafter.’
