Translation
Yazid narrated to us; Yahya informed us, from Sa‘id ibn al-Musayyab, that ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said: ‘Beware lest you neglect the verse concerning stoning, or someone say, “We do not find two prescribed punishments in the Book of Allah, Exalted is He.” I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, stone, and we stoned after him.’
