Yazid narrated to us; ‘Asim ibn Muhammad informed us, from his father, from Ibn ‘Umar, from ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with him—who said, ‘I only know that he attributed it to the Prophet’: He says that Allah, Blessed and Exalted, says, “Whoever humbles himself before Me like this”—and Yazid turned the palm of his hand toward the earth and lowered it close to the earth—“I will raise him like this”—and he turned the palm of his hand toward the sky and raised it toward the sky.
