Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا وَأَبِي فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَهْ إِنَّهُ مَنْ حَلَفَ بِشَيْءٍ دُونَ اللَّهِ فَقَدْ أَشْرَكَ.
Translation
Abu Sa‘id narrated to us; Isra’il narrated to us; Sa‘id ibn Masruq narrated to us, from Sa‘d ibn ‘Ubaydah, from Ibn ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, from ‘Umar, who said, ‘No, by my father.’ The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, ‘Stop! Whoever swears by anything other than Allah has committed shirk.’
