Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَوْ جَدِّهِ الشَّكُّ مِنْ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ بَعْدَ الْحَدَثِ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ وَصَلَّى.
Translation
‘Ali ibn ‘Asim narrated to us; Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad informed us, from ‘Asim ibn ‘Ubayd Allah, from his father—or his grandfather; Yazid was uncertain—from ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, perform ablution after breaking wind, wipe over his leather socks, and pray.
