Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us; Shu‘bah narrated to us; Hajjaj narrated to us. He said: Shu‘bah narrated to me; he said: I heard Qatadah relate from Sa‘id ibn al-Musayyab, from Ibn ‘Umar, from his father, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: ‘The deceased is punished in his grave because of what is wailed over him.’ Hajjaj said: ‘Because of the wailing over him.’
