Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، يَقُولُ سَأَلَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ تُصِيبُنِي الْجَنَابَةُ مِنْ اللَّيْلِ فَمَا أَصْنَعُ قَالَ اغْسِلْ ذَكَرَكَ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأْ ثُمَّ ارْقُدْ.
Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us; Shu‘bah narrated to us, from ‘Abd Allah ibn Dinar, who said: I heard Ibn ‘Umar say: ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, “I become junub at night; what should I do?” He said, “Wash your private part, then perform ablution, then lie down.”’
