Musnad Ahmad 385
Waki‘ narrated to us; Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from ‘Amr ibn Maymun, from ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: ‘The people of the pre-Islamic era would not depart from Jam‘ until they said, “Shine, Thabir, so that we may hurry away.” When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came, he acted differently from them. He would depart from Jam‘ at about the time of the dawn prayer of travelers, before sunrise.’
