Sahih al-Bukhari 137
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، وَعَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، أَنَّهُ شَكَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الرَّجُلُ الَّذِي يُخَيَّلُ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ يَجِدُ الشَّىْءَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ. فَقَالَ " لاَ يَنْفَتِلْ ـ أَوْ لاَ يَنْصَرِفْ ـ حَتَّى يَسْمَعَ صَوْتًا أَوْ يَجِدَ رِيحًا ".
'Ali narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us, saying: al-Zuhri narrated to us, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab and from 'Abbad ibn Tamim, from his uncle, who complained to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about a man who imagined that he had felt something during prayer. He said: ‘He should not leave—or turn away—until he hears a sound or detects a smell.’
