Translation

ʿAlī ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us: Ismāʿīl ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us, from Ayyūb, from Muḥammad, from Anas, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: “Whoever slaughtered before the prayer must slaughter again.” A man said, “This is a day on which people desire meat”—and he mentioned his neighbors, so it seemed that the Prophet ﷺ excused him—“and I have a jadhaʿah that is better than two sheep.” The Prophet ﷺ granted him an allowance, though I do not know whether that allowance was extended to others. Then he went to two rams—meaning, he slaughtered them—and the people went to a small flock and slaughtered it.
