Sahih al-Bukhari
Sahih al-Bukhari 275
Abdullah ibn Muhammad narrated to us, saying: Uthman ibn Umar narrated to us, saying: Yunus informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The prayer was called, and the rows were straightened while we stood. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came out to us. When he stood in his prayer place, he remembered that he was in a state of major ritual impurity and said to us: “Stay where you are.” Then he went back and bathed. He came out to us with water dripping from his head, said the opening takbir, and we prayed with him. Abd al-Ala corroborated it from Mamar, from al-Zuhri. Al-Awzai also narrated it from al-Zuhri.
