Sahih al-Bukhari 633
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعُمَيْسِ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِالأَبْطَحِ فَجَاءَهُ بِلاَلٌ فَآذَنَهُ بِالصَّلاَةِ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ بِلاَلٌ بِالْعَنَزَةِ حَتَّى رَكَزَهَا بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِالأَبْطَحِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلاَةَ.

Ishaq narrated to us: Ja‘far bin ‘Awn informed us: Abu al-‘Umais narrated to us, from ‘Awn bin Abi Juhaifa, from his father, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at al-Abtah. Bilal came to him and notified him of the prayer. Then Bilal went out carrying a short spear, planted it in front of the Messenger of Allah at al-Abtah, and announced the commencement of prayer.
