Sahih al-Bukhari 633
If there are many travellers, Adhan and Iqama should be pronounced, (the same is to be observed) in 'Arafat and Al-Muzdalifa too
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعُمَيْسِ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِالأَبْطَحِ فَجَاءَهُ بِلاَلٌ فَآذَنَهُ بِالصَّلاَةِ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ بِلاَلٌ بِالْعَنَزَةِ حَتَّى رَكَزَهَا بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِالأَبْطَحِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلاَةَ.
Translation
Narrated `Aun bin Abi Juhaifa
My father said, "I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) at a place called Al-Abtah. Bilal came and informed him about the prayer and then came out with a short spear (or stick) and planted it in front of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) at Al-Abtah and pronounced the Iqama."
