Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ أَوْلاَدِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَقَالَ " اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا عَامِلِينَ ".
Translation
Muhammad ibn Bashshar narrated to us; Ghundar narrated to us; Shu'bah narrated to us, from Abu Bishr, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about the children of the polytheists. He replied: ‘Allah knows best what they would have done.’
