Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ ذَرَارِيِّ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَقَالَ { اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا عَامِلِينَ }
Translation
Yahya ibn Bukayr narrated to us; al-Layth narrated to us, from Yunus, from Ibn Shihab, who said: Ata ibn Yazid also informed me that he heard Abu Hurayrah say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about the offspring of the polytheists and replied: ‘Allah knows best what they would have done.’
