Translation
Abu Nuaym narrated to us; Sufyan narrated to us, from Mansur, from Abdullah ibn Murrah, from Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade vows and said: ‘A vow does not turn anything away; it is only a means by which something is extracted from the miser.’
