Translation

Al-Mughira ibn Shu‘ba reported: The Prophet went to relieve himself and then returned. I brought him water, and he performed ablution while wearing a Syrian coat. He rinsed his mouth and nose and washed his face. When he tried to take his hands out through the sleeves, they were too tight, so he brought them out from beneath the coat, washed them, wiped his head, and wiped over his leather socks.
