Translation
Aḥmad ibn Yūnus narrated to us: Abū Shihāb ʿAbd Rabbih ibn Nāfiʿ narrated to us, from Yūnus, from Thābit al-Bunānī, from Anas, who said: “When wine was forbidden to us, we could find only a little grape wine—in Medina, that is. Most of our wine was from unripe dates and ripe dates.”
