Translation
Musaddad narrated to us: Yaḥyā narrated to us, from Abū Ḥayyān, who said: ʿĀmir narrated to us, from Ibn ʿUmar (may God be pleased with them both): ʿUmar stood at the pulpit and said: “To proceed: the prohibition of wine was revealed, and it comes from five things: grapes, dates, honey, wheat, and barley. Wine is whatever clouds the intellect.”
