حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ الْبَرَّاءُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي بَكْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ الْخَمْرَ حُرِّمَتْ، وَالْخَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْبُسْرُ وَالتَّمْرُ.
Translation
Muḥammad ibn Abī Bakr al-Muqaddamī narrated to us: Yūsuf Abū Maʿshar al-Barrāʾ narrated to us, saying: I heard Saʿīd ibn ʿUbayd Allāh say: Bakr ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated to me that Anas ibn Mālik related to them: “Wine was forbidden, and the wine of that time was made from unripe dates and ripe dates.”
