Sahih al-Bukhari 3076

Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us: Yahya narrated to us: Ismaʿil narrated to us, who said: Qays told me: Jarir ibn ʿAbd Allah (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me, “Will you relieve me of Dhu al-Khalasa?” It was a house belonging to Khaʿtham, called the Yemeni Kaʿba. I set out with one hundred and fifty men from Ahmas, who were horsemen. I told the Prophet (ﷺ) that I could not keep steady on horseback. He struck me on the chest until I saw the marks of his fingers on my chest, and said, “O Allah, make him steadfast, and make him a guide and rightly guided.” Jarir set out toward it, demolished it, and burned it. He sent a messenger to the Prophet (ﷺ) to give him the good news. Jarir’s messenger said, “Messenger of Allah, by Him who sent you with the truth, I did not come to you until I had left it like a mangy camel.” The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) blessed the horses and men of Ahmas five times. Musaddad said: “A house belonging to Khaʿtham.”
