Sahih al-Bukhari 1235
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ، قَالَتْ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ وَهِيَ تُصَلِّي قَائِمَةً وَالنَّاسُ قِيَامٌ فَقُلْتُ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ فَأَشَارَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ. فَقُلْتُ آيَةٌ. فَقَالَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا أَىْ نَعَمْ.
Yahya ibn Sulayman said: Ibn Wahb narrated to me; al-Thawri narrated to us, from Hisham, from Fatimah, from Asma', who said: I entered upon 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) while she was praying standing, and the people were standing too. I asked: ‘What is the matter with the people?’ She gestured with her head toward the sky. I said: ‘A sign?’ She nodded, meaning: ‘Yes.’
