Sahih al-Bukhari 2611
Arabic hadith text
وَقَالَ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي سَفَرٍ، وَكُنْتُ عَلَى بَكْرٍ صَعْبٍ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِعُمَرَ " بِعْنِيهِ ". فَابْتَاعَهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " هُوَ لَكَ يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ ".
Translation
Al-Humaydi said: Sufyan narrated to us: ʿAmr narrated to us, from Ibn ʿUmar, may Allah be pleased with them both, who said: We were with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey, and I was riding a difficult young camel. The Prophet ﷺ said to ʿUmar: “Sell it to me.” He bought it, and the Prophet ﷺ said: “It is yours, ʿAbdullah.”
