Translation

ʿUbayd ibn Ismaʿil narrated to us: Abu Usama narrated to us, from Hisham, from his father, from Asma bint Abi Bakr, may Allah be pleased with them both, who said: My mother came to me while she was a polytheist, during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I sought a ruling from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: “My mother has come to me, hoping for something. May I maintain ties with her?” He said: “Yes, maintain ties with your mother.”
