Translation

ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us: ʿAbd al-Warith narrated to us: Ayyub narrated to us, from ʿIkrima, from Ibn ʿAbbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, who said: The Prophet ﷺ said: “A bad example is not for us: one who takes back his gift is like a dog that returns to its vomit.”
