Sahih al-Bukhari 2624
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَنَّ ابْنَ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَهُمْ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، أَنَّ بَنِي صُهَيْبٍ، مَوْلَى ابْنِ جُدْعَانَ ادَّعَوْا بَيْتَيْنِ وَحُجْرَةً، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَعْطَى ذَلِكَ صُهَيْبًا، فَقَالَ مَرْوَانُ مَنْ يَشْهَدُ لَكُمَا عَلَى ذَلِكَ قَالُوا ابْنُ عُمَرَ. فَدَعَاهُ فَشَهِدَ لأَعْطَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صُهَيْبًا بَيْتَيْنِ وَحُجْرَةً. فَقَضَى مَرْوَانُ بِشَهَادَتِهِ لَهُمْ.
Ibrahim ibn Musa narrated to us: Hisham ibn Yusuf informed us that Ibn Jurayj informed them, saying: ʿAbdullah ibn ʿUbaydullah ibn Abi Mulayka informed me that the sons of Suhayb, the freedman of Ibn Judʿan, claimed two houses and a room, saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had given them to Suhayb. Marwan said: “Who will testify to that for you?” They said: “Ibn ʿUmar.” He summoned him, and he testified that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had given Suhayb two houses and a room. Marwan therefore ruled in their favor on the basis of his testimony.
