Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَأُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِلَحْمٍ فَقِيلَ تُصُدِّقَ عَلَى بَرِيرَةَ قَالَ " هُوَ لَهَا صَدَقَةٌ، وَلَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ "
Translation
Narrated Anas bin Malik
Some meat was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ) and it was said that the meat had been given in charity to Barirah. He said, "It was Sadaqa for Barirah but a gift for us."
