Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " قَالَ اللَّهُ يَسُبُّ بَنُو آدَمَ الدَّهْرَ، وَأَنَا الدَّهْرُ، بِيَدِي اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ ".
Translation
Yahya ibn Bukayr narrated to us: al-Layth narrated to us, from Yunus, from Ibn Shihab, who said: Abu Salamah informed me that Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Allah says, ‘The children of Adam insult Time, while I am Time; in My hand are the night and the day.’
