Ishaq ibn Nasr narrated to us: Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us: Mamar informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Ibn al-Musayyab, from his father, that his grandfather came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. He asked, ‘What is your name?’ He replied, ‘Hazn.’ The Prophet said, ‘You are Sahl.’ He said, ‘I will not change a name my father gave me.’ Ibn al-Musayyab said: Hardship remained among us thereafter.
