Sahih al-Bukhari 6010
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي صَلاَةٍ وَقُمْنَا مَعَهُ، فَقَالَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ وَهْوَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْنِي وَمُحَمَّدًا، وَلاَ تَرْحَمْ مَعَنَا أَحَدًا. فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ لِلأَعْرَابِيِّ " لَقَدْ حَجَّرْتَ وَاسِعًا ". يُرِيدُ رَحْمَةَ اللَّهِ.
Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah stood for prayer and we stood with him. While the Prophet was praying, a Bedouin said, “O Allah, have mercy on me and Muhammad, and do not have mercy on anyone else with us.” When the Prophet finished the prayer, he said to the Bedouin, “You have restricted something vast,” meaning the mercy of Allah.
