Sahih al-Bukhari 1528
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " مُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذُو الْحُلَيْفَةِ، وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الشَّأْمِ مَهْيَعَةُ وَهِيَ الْجُحْفَةُ، وَأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنٌ " . قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ زَعَمُوا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ " وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمُ ".
Ahmad related to us: Ibn Wahb related to us. He said: Yunus informed me, from Ibn Shihab, from Salim ibn ʿAbd Allah, from his father (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, ‘The place for the people of Medina to begin ihram is Dhu al-Hulayfa; for the people of Syria it is Mahyaʿa, which is al-Juhfa; and for the people of Najd it is Qarn.’ Ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: They claim—and I did not hear it myself—that the Prophet ﷺ said, ‘The place for the people of Yemen to begin ihram is Yalamlam.’
