Translation

Qutayba related to us: Hammad related to us, from ʿAmr, from Tawus, from Ibn ʿAbbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): The Prophet ﷺ set Dhu al-Hulayfa for the people of Medina, al-Juhfa for the people of Syria, Yalamlam for the people of Yemen, and Qarn for the people of Najd. These are for those peoples and for others who pass by them intending Hajj or ʿumra. Whoever is nearer than those places begins from where he is; even the people of Mecca begin ihram from Mecca.’
