To shave the head and to have the head-hair cut short on finishing the Ihram
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ ـ رضى الله عنهم ـ قَالَقَصَّرْتُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِمِشْقَصٍ.
Translation
Narrated Muawiya
I cut short the hair of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) with a long blade.
